"Chana" in Paula Vogel's Indecent at Centerstage at the JCC in Rochester

I am so thrilled to be opening one of my favorite plays tonight, Paula Vogel's Indecent, in Rochester. It has been a pleasure to work on this groundbreaking piece in the context of the Jewish Community Center of Rochester, under the direction of Lindsay Warren Baker and the dramaturgical coaching of Deborah Rothman, Yiddish literature scholar and language coach. I have learned so much from this project and developed a much deeper understanding and appreciation for the history of Jewish culture and the importance of preserving Yiddish literature. I know I will carry this learning with me for the rest of my life, and I can't wait to continue expanding on it. Please check out these beautiful photos, by Lou Schneider.
